Introducing 6points
My name is MJ and I am the founder of 6points Architecture. I founded 6points because I saw a need in the retail space. Many entrepreneurs are so excited to build out their first brick and mortar space that they find themselves wrung through the confusing and chaotic process of design and construction. In the wild I see so many beautiful retail and design concepts in spaces that don’t function well for them or reflect the brand. After years working for both the in-house retail design team and the architecture team, I have learned to balance the concerns of the retailer’s needs and meeting code expectations. I also love coordinating with engineers and landlords to get a beautiful space without pipes, cables and switches marring the customer experience.
While I was earning my degree in interior design and then architecture, I worked retail as a sales and support staff. In my designs, I make sure to address the needs of all the users of the space, employees and clients alike. Its important to think through scenarios such as, a person buys whole coffee beans, how difficult is it to get them ground?, can the next person in line order verbally while the grinder is in operation?, etc.
6points is designed to provide education and communication to our clients. First time clients are welcome as we explain the main phases of construction, what each line item provides value wise, and navigating the permitting and regulation processes within architecture. We are here to explain why things are required by the jurisdiction and/or building plan reviewer. We are here to design a beautiful space that reflects your brand.
In short, our why is to make sure our clients get beautiful spaces and feel good about the process to get to the end product.
